As much as I love art in all its many forms, I never would have thought that I’d one day be able to create and be proud of my own pieces. Let alone through embroidery which dates back centuries ago. I never considered myself to be any good at drawing or painting, but through embroidery, I found a way to express my passion and desire to make and share art with others. What started out as a fun hobby quickly turned into something I enjoy putting my heart into.

I learned how to embroider during a pandemic summer through an embroidery kit. After learning different stitch patterns and completing the project, I decided to apply the skill to canvas. This is how Thread by Yarde was born.

Thread by Yarde is a small business based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I hand embroider continuous line designs, maps, customs from photos, and so much more onto canvas using high-quality embroidery floss (thread).
